in my thoughts, I see the water of light, with particles that dance with the rhythm of life. I wish so that we can intend a transformation of loving water working with us to heal, educate, activate and recreate our communities. Imagine that we can work it from south to north, west to east. 3rd Annual Pangaea Project Benefit with The Everyone Orchestra - 4/14 & 15

Come join members of Phish, String Cheese Incident, Jazz Mandolin Project, March Fourth Marching Band and to Raise Funds for Local Non-Profit

Last year’s event raised over $16,000 for The Pangaea Project which engages teenagers from underserved neighborhoods in local and international service-learning projects by promoting the development of leadership skills, increasing global awareness, and fostering a commitment to work towards social change. Proceeds from show ticket sales, fundraising raffles, and other donations will be contributed directly to The Pangaea Project. Additionally, a local foundation has generously offered The Pangaea Project a Challenge Grant for the Third Annual Benefit that will match every dollar that is raised beyond ticket sales.

drummers needed for growing drumcircle!!!Portland, Or

Hi! I have put together a drum cirle that meets every Thursday at Laurelhurst park at 6pm.... We are small and need more drummers to show up so we can really get into a vibe. Most of the people who show now are pagan though its not strictly pagan but this is a good networking meet up and its free. Hello my loves
Thanks to everyone who came, and especially to everyone who helped make it what it was. I met tons of beautiful and charming people. The nights were all as clear and beautiful as can be. The music was all just as sic as can be. I had a freaking great time. I love you all.

Oh, and the food was all really yummy and healthy. Thanks for that. I hope that some fo the leftovers can be returned or used.

I can't wait to see you all again someday.

The weather forecasts for this weekend have been steadily getting more rainy. Remember of you're camping to pack extra warm clothes, and things to keep your gear (AND FIREWOOD!) dry. I've noticed that a lot of tents don't have water protection in case of rain, so bringing an extra tarp for your tent might be smart... Is it possible for the sound equipment to short circuit if it gets too heavily rained on, or will it all be sufficiently covered? Do we have some dry places for people to take cover under? Just a few things to think about.

Let us pray to the Sun Gods to give us a comfortably warm weekend!

(On the bright side though, if it does rain, I wouldn't have to think about getting a shower!:))

Community Kitchen

So we've got an awesome group of ladies who has come together to work on the kitchen and manifest our dreams of free food for everyone. Lots of thanks for the help from Annapurna cafe. So the plan is that we'll have a nice yummy filling breakfast, then snacks will be out all day for people to hit up and then a lunch/dinner combo meal in the evening. Awakening Consciousness Library

I'm hoping we can create a little library at the full moon event for folks to chill under a tent and be able to read or use osmosis to soak in som econsciousness expanding wisdom. I know you all have some favorite books or poems to share and so I hope you'll bring some out (label them so you get em back) for us all to share. (We'll have one of those little propane heaters in there to keep the dew from damaging them so please bring them out if you feel called to do so.

So, I figure, since I'll be at this event all weekend, out in the woods, with a TON of beautiful shining souls, I'd like to take some pictures. I thought I'd let everyone know ahead of time that I'm a picture whore, and you might run into me saying "OMG WHAT AN AMAZING PICTURE!" or something to that extent.

With that said, I was also thinking about maybe doing a little photo shoot or two out in the trees. I'll need some people to play with, so if you'd like to, you can either tell me here, or pounce me at some point throughout the weekend. We can take whatever kind of pics, as long as you don't ask to ride the sheep. ^_~*

1) From the I-5 Freeway

a) If you are driving South on the I-5 Freeway from somewhere North of Portland then exit Lombard and go West, proceed for about about 5 miles into Saint John's and cross the Saint John's Bridge to the 30 North, then follow the directions below-from the 30 North.

b) If you are driving North on the I-5 Freeway from Southern Portland take the Freemont Bridge (405 Freeway) West to the 30 North and follow the directions below- from the 30 North.

2) From the 30 North- Take the 30 North along the Williamette River. After you pass the "leaving Portland" sign, and the "Saulvie Island 1 Mile" sign, take your first left on Newberry Road at the 10 mile marker.

-Go up the hill a half mile through a swithchback and the small dirt road entrance to the Location is on the right, ACROSS the street from 13220 Newberry Road. If you need to drop of any heavy supplies then please do so at the entrance of the little dirt road, please DO NOT drive down the little hill. there are turnouts on the side of Newberry road ahead that are O.K. for everyone to park in. Please park perpendicular to the road, not parallel, so people can pull out when they feel

firewood, structure to prop up 40 by 20 foot tarp.

We could really use help with transportations of pallets/fire wood out to the land this weekend, we need three nights worth :)

Also, it might possibly rain friday i heard so we are looking for some type of structure to prop up a large tarp at least 8 feet up at two points, then tieing the sides down to the ground, keeping all the danke energy in:)

Just some thoughts...I have been thinking about ideas to light up the area around the music some. So far I have been thinking of using candles and some tiki torches on the side could work nicely. I am wondering if anyone might have more candles and such or other ideas...

Also, does anyone have access to cinder blocks or somthing sufficient to hold up a solid table surface for the dj equipment?

STUFF YOU NEED TO BRING

A happy afternoon to all you lovely souls~

So since this event is free and we are trying to drum up abundance from the universe to help it coalesce, there are a few items that folks are going to need to bring along to help make things happen:

~A plate or bowl and cup of your own to eat at the community meal, food will be provided but see the kitchen thread for donation info.....dish washing stations will be set up. Plus you'll need a towel to have as a personal napkin.

~FIREWOOD---this land is not crazy woodland so we can't really scavenge for it---if we want raging fires for three nights we need the fuel.

~A garbage bag---pack out what you pack in...this land is an amazing gift and we must respect it....if you smoke cigarettes PLEASE bring a butt can or tin to carry with you.

SIGN & DECO PARTY

This Sunday at my place 4812 NE 24th Ave (24th just south of alberta) from 3pm to whenever we will be having a sign making party for the event....like arrows and bathroom signs and all that fun....

plus I'll have the bags for the luminaries so if folks want to cut patterns into the sides WOW that would be cool!!!

Give me a call or message if you have questions and any cardboard or poster board or supplies like that an be brought to create stuff

***I only own 1 pair of scissors so they are really needed***

Also I'm down to make a main dish for dineer if people want to potluck sides......I must get RSVPs though if dinner is in the mix.

Hello fellow eaters!

What better way to commune with each other and the planet than through our food! In an effort to connect the tribes up and down the west coast, we are coming together in nature to dance and celebrate life. So lets brake some bread together!

We would love to have community meals throughout the event, so that means having food for every type o taste bud. SO please post your ideas about good community type meals-keep it simple por favor.

What was that old story about bringing a fish and a loaf of bread, then everyone ate till they were full....

So here are a few ideas that have been thrown out there so far:

Campfire Veggies:
1 Sac Potatoes, diced 1" sq.
veggies of all colors and flavors, ie: bell peppers, zucchini, asparagus, onions, HERBS, mushrooms, grean beens, peas, broccoli, etc....
Tofu
cheese optional
Wrap up in tinfoil and throw on the coals

Campfire Corn on the Cob
corn
butter optional
salt and pepper

Campfire Deserts!!
Banana Boats:
Bananas, chocolate, peanut butter, marshmellows, more?...
wrap up in tinfoil and throw on coals

Cinnamon "baked" apples
good ol coals

Breakfast:
dankalicious fruit parfaits:
fresh fruits, all kinds
granola
regular and/or soy yogurt (yummy)
Honey

Oatmeal with raisons, brown sugar, honey, you name it...

Pancakes smothered in fresh fruit, peanut butter, syrup or whatever. yummy.

Tofu scramble:
tomatoes, mushrooms, tofu, scramble seasoning.
Of yeah, no refrigeration needed.

Home style potatoes:
rosemary, potatoes, veggie oil, whatever else we can conjur up

Fresh squeezed orange juice:
a bag of oranges is only a few bucks

SO THEN
We'd love more ideas and we'd love people to sign up for a few items that they can bring in bulk. As you can see we are lacking dinner ideas, and I know you health-conscious portlanders have some really good ideas, so let's hear em. Raw, vegan, meatie, cheesy, whatever floats yer boat. We will have stoves, and a functioning kitchen space with a great respect for cleanliness and separation of veggie foods and non-veggie foodies.
When you decide what food item you want to bring, please email me so I can get a list going and all our bases covered.

Speaking of stoves, Luke has one, is anyone else willing to bring their's?? Sza Sza? (luv ya)

Propane is another thing that you can sign up for, especially if you already have a few cans sitting around waiting to be used.

My mouth is already watering! I can't wait to hear from ya's.

IVY REMOVAL PROJECT

In trade for the use of this amazingly magical forresty farm land (20 minutes from Portland) the owner has asked that we remove a section of invasive ivy from the land...we are seeking volunteers to join a work party to get this done......it's been suggested that some folks would enjoy doing this during the event since it is four days long with plenty of daytime hours available....please post your thoughts or info if you can volunteer and give back to the land that is supporting our celebration

The time has come again to celebrate under the full moon, this Wed. it's full in Virgo* There has been a Portland Moon Vibe collective forming, and you're invited to gather and relax in the lunar cycles. We'll be celebrating at Dan & Maleika's again, with both a beautiful outdoor and indoor scene, along with their neighbor. More info on the Portland Moon Vibe Tribe (MoonVibe.tribe.net), and post your ideas there too*

It is so neat to see the community come together in this way, knowing that we can heal, activate and create amazing things under the full moon. These moon vibes gatherings are ment to grow over time, and really have a space to relax and enjoy our time together. This is an open space, Let's break bread and break dance, create our vision of the future.

Little tid bit: A river used to run through their property, so we can really use the elements at play all we need are some fire dancers and we've got all 4 elements rockin the free world!

Please bring pillows or blankets, healthy snacks or
drinks, music, drums, etc...... now for the directions:

DIRECTIONS TO:

Follow your heart and these directions to the gathering
From Portland Take
99 South to RIVER ROAD (about 7 miles south of Belmont...
just past downtown Milwaukie)
Veer RIGHT on RIVER RD.(Big sign ont he right, It onlys goes right just under railroad bridge by the River Roadhouse)
RIVER RD.winds up a small hill> continue Straight on
River to a FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT> Courtney St.
Turn RIGHT on COURTNEY
Courtney will veer left and become Fairoaks Ave> go with it
We are the FIFTH HOUSE on the LEFT with a large stone
garage in front. IT WILL BE WELL LIT WITH CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
Their house sits up off the street.
There is parking in front and also up our long
driveway. We welcome people anytime after 7:30 pm
